Jupiter Island

Welcome to Jupiter Island

For an Exclusive, Island Lifestyle

Surrounded by natural beauty, the Atlantic Ocean, and the Intracoastal Waterway, Jupiter Island is an exclusive barrier island paradise. The neighborhood boasts unrivaled real estate, mainly on one- and two-acre lots, catering to those who crave privacy in an affluent setting. Many of the residences are shielded from public view with private access and ocean-facing lots, attracting celebrities, business moguls, and sports greats (including Greg Norman and Tiger Woods) to the area.

Just north of West Palm Beach and Palm Beach County, the 17-mile-long island is synonymous with wealth and exclusivity dating back to 1715. The Spanish Plata fleet wrecked off the shore of the island and lost its entire cargo of silver and gold coins intended for the Spanish treasury. In fact, today’s beachcombers may find a piece of Spanish treasure beneath the beach sand.

Jupiter Island is renowned for its natural beauty, in part owing to the fact that much of the land has been given to the US Fish and Wildlife Service, Audubon Society, and Nature Conservancy to ensure the preservation of the local wildlife and ecology. Incorporated as a town in 1953, Jupiter Island has managed to preserve its natural appeal more than any other populated barrier island. This, as well as provide its families with its own town government, fire departments, police forces, and more.

Dining, Entertainment, and Shopping

Grab your neighbors and enjoy a night out Dive Bar, enjoying grilled kimchi beef tenderloin tips, Bahamian conch fritters, sushi, a locally sourced raw bar, mahi-mahi tacos, and more. The restaurant maintains a gigantic, 2,000-gallon saltwater aquarium full of Atlantic Ocean reef and sea life and a coral rock wall with six 300-gallon saltwater aquariums that bring lobsters, seahorses, and the odd shark right up close.

After a day out on the water, pull your boat right into one of the slips at U-Tiki. There’s something for everyone on the menu, from fresh seafood to great cocktails. From almondine sauteed yellowtail to sushi to grilled filet mignon, this is a convivial spot to spend an evening. If you’re seeking a true beachy gem, look no further than Tiki 52 in Tequesta. Savor local smoked-fish dip, lobster and corn fritters, and catch of the day served your way, in an open-air restaurant and bar with woven tiki huts and an undeniable Caribbean vibe. There’s live music quite often, including both national and local acts.

Don’t miss Charlie & Joe’s at Love Street, a one-of-a-kind destination with a number of unique experiences that combine Jupiter’s nautical culture and deep fishing heritage. There are multiple options to choose from, including Beacon, Lucky Shuck, Top Side, and Tacklebox.

When you live on Jupiter Island, you can enjoy the best of South Florida - quiet days at home in your own barrier island neighborhood or more active days exploring the waterways, greater Jupiter, or even nearby West Palm Beach.

Close to home, head to Coral Cove Park, where you can take an oceanfront walk or launch a kayak. It’s just south of Blowing Rocks Preserve and features picturesque, rugged sea caves. It’s quieter than many of the beaches in the area and allows for snorkeling and paddleboarding straight from the sand.

At nearby Blowing Rocks Preserve, you’ll gape at impressive rock formations that force fountains of saltwater up to 50 feet in the air when there’s an extremely high tide, or during a winter storm. The shoreline is made up of rugged Anastasia limestone, the largest of its kind on the Atlantic coast. Within this pristine nature preserve, you’ll experience native habitats such as beach dunes and swamps, red, black, and white mangroves, sea grape trees, and a lagoon full of urban, blue claw crab, and the occasional, endangered Florida manatee. Look for sea turtles returning to their nests and a number of shorebirds.

The list of things to do and see on Jupiter Island is long, despite the area’s small-town feel. From here, residents enjoy a variety of shopping, dining, and entertainment venues in nearby Jupiter, Tequesta, and Hobe Sound.
