Or, take your boat to Peanut Island, an 80-acre tropical isle located at the west end of the Palm Beach (Lake Worth) inlet. It’s a county park, yes, but you can truly only get there by boat. Socialize with friends in the shallow water. No boat? Take the water taxi. Go snorkeling at the small reef and larger lagoon, walk the paved trail that encircles the island, wander along the boardwalk through the mangroves and check out birds and sea life from the observation deck on the south side of the island.
